The Best Lugaw in Navotas City

Good day Foodies! it's me right back at it again with another Food blog
I've been looking for the best Lugaw (rice porridge) in all of Navotas. and it took me the whole month to try different Lugaw in my city of Navotas I've tried almost 30 of them some are expensive some are cheap. and here, at last, I found the most delicious among them and that is what I am going to tell you today

after a month of searching... I finally found the one and it's Nil Lugawan atbpa.

I chose Nil lugawan because their lugaw is affordable and tasty among all the competitors Nil lugawan atbpa. is located at 54 F. Pascual San Jose, Navotas City
if you Don't know how to get here ride a jeepney with "NAVOTAS"  signboard and ask the driver to drop you at F.Pascual Street. from there you may ask locals about Nil Lugawan.

Nil Lugawan

I finally arrived at Nil Lugawan. the place is simple, it has four tables and there are two fans to keep you cool. they are open from 5:00 in the morning till 9:00 in the evening

Lugaw with egg and softdrinks

I ordered Lugaw, egg, and a soft drink the Lugaw was served really hot. the bowl is full and it is nicely presented with crunchy garlic on top as you may see the lugaw is color white, it was thick it was soft but you can still feel the bits of the rice

it tastes really good! it has the balance of saltiness, richness and umami. for me you don't have to put seasonings on your lugaw because it is tasty as it is. but i will tell you my go to combinations when it comes to seasoning. i put sumpia vinegar about two tablespoon, sprinkle of patis (fish sauce) and dazzle of fine black pepper. I really like that combination. salty, umami sour and spicy.

If I have to give Nil Lugawan I will give it a perfect 10 out of ten! mainly for the taste second is the affordable price and third is parking. you can park your bike or motorcycle in front of the store while you are ordering or eating. I recommend you to go to this place and try their lugaw. it's the best.

Love4Lasagna Review

FACILITIES AND FEATURES

Good day foodies! We are going Italian today 'cause we’re going to try Love4Lasagnas’ delicious beefy and cheesy lasagna. I was invited by my  Entrepreneur cousin, Did you know that his team pioneered selling milk tea in a food cart setting? Now they are preparing to make a change again. this time         with Lasagna. later you’ll know*

Love4Lasagna is located on the ground floor of Malabon City Square, located in Longos, Malabon City. As you can see, the food cart is attractive. It has a fun vibe and the food cart is well-lit. I like the look of the store.

The staff is polite and cheerful and they serve with smiles. They greeted me with a good day. In addition, they are neat and hygienic. I like their uniforms, especially their aprons. It takes about ten minutes for them to prepare your order, which is always fresh from the oven
.

I really like how they package their product. It was inside an aluminum tray and covered with a plastic lid. I like it for three reasons. It’s really hygienic. It retains its heat. And if you bring it to a party or to your home, it will still be hot. Finally, you can store the leftovers in the fridge, reheat them in the oven, and you're good to go.

Now, let's talk about their food... their lasagna comes in two flavors. Seafood and beef. They also come with the following sizes
Solo (P90), Couple (340) suitable for 2-3 people, Barkada (P900) suitable for 5-6 people, and Family size (P1,100)

Each lasagna comes with thick crunchy garlic bread topped with flavored butter and finely chopped fresh parsley leaves. This garlic bread tastes really garlicky and buttery. I like its texture. Toast to perfection.

Let's talk about the main dish… Beef lasagna…

The serving size of this lasagna will surely satisfy your hunger. The serving is big. As you open the package, you can see the lasagna is covered with luscious melted cheese. The combination of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese is really delicious. You can literally stretch the cheese out. I like the fact that they didn't use cheap quick-melt cheese. Instead, they use real parmesan and mozzarella cheese
it’s mouth-watering…. Here comes the first bite…

Its progression of taste appeals to me. It's a medley of sweet, milky, and savory with a hint of tang to complement the special sauce. This lasagna features three layers of perfectly cooked al dente pasta, and the sauce really makes this dish stand out. they level up their lasagna I can compare theirs to the lasagna of an authentic Italian restaurant.
This product is really a reasonable value for the quality and taste that it offers

For the price, taste, and quality and their courteous staff, I will rate it a flawless 5/5 stars

Bring their Barkada size or family size to a party and you can never go wrong. Malamang ito agad ang mauunang maubos.

*I believe they were the first to offer solo-size lasagnas in malls

PARES RETIRO: Honest review of their Bone Marrow

I DID NOT LIKE IT. Maybe I'm not just used to eating bone marrow. Because I didn't like it to be honest. here's the whole blog...

Bonemarrow food vlog has been on my feed for quite some time. and my idol Tonypet Gaba even featured your restaurant on his own tv show, PopTalk. Because of this, I decided to try your most famous bone marrow dish. I went to Pares Retiro located in Fisher Mall, Malabon City.
it is inThe Galley food hall on the third level of the mall.

So I ordered...  The good news is that it arrived just five minutes after I placed my order. By the way. I ordered their ever-famous Bone Marrow. The funny thing here is that it's like a collectible toy. each is sold separately hahaha! Meaning the rice is sold separately the juice is sold separately and so is their dish. even the water you have to pay for it separately. there is no free drinking water! so if you choke... I wouldn't want to know what could happen to you.  if have extra money you can pay for bottled water. all in all, it cost me P175 because of my PWD discount. if you are not Señor Citizen or PWD the same food I ordered will be more or less Php. 265.00.

Let's talk about the ambiance. their restaurant is inside the food court. so you can already expect a very loud noise around you. there and also there isn't enough privacy. there's no door. so if someone stole your belongings they can just easily walk away or run, if the guard isn't looking. minus point for that.

Now, Let's talk about the Staff. They are polite. they are wearing proper and neat uniforms. the store is very clean. they act fast. also, they are very much attentive to customers' needs 5/5

Here comes the food... I like how the food is presented. the bone was big. and it's full of marrow. The bone marrow was topped with their signature thick pares sauce complemented with finely-chopped toasted garlic. garnished with chopped fresh green onion. it also came with a free hot soup that resembles the taste of a Filipino Maming gala. the soup is thin it's mildly flavored and it almost fills the bowl with the amount of the soup. the rice is sold separately as I said earlier. A regular size cup of garlic fried rice costs Php 40.00 the taste isn't any special. it also has the same garnish: toasted garlic and green onion. I ordered a glass of Iced tea since the water isn't free. who knows I might choke. better be ready. a glass of iced tea costs Php. 35.00  all for a total of Php. 265.00 if not discounted.

the taste...
the sauce was thick and creamy the staff told me it was "Pares" Sauce. it was luscious, sweet, savory and it tastes definite like pares but more subtle in taste in a good way

When it comes to the very marrow, the consistency is like jello, so soft and creamy. its taste is sweet, fatty, and umami. The bone marrow tastes just like fat. but so much soft, creamy, and rich. Which to me
if I will eat a lot of it. Or I would definitely feel nauseous (suyâ) of its richness that's why I do not like it. Nakaka-suya. Nakaka-dalok. nakaka-umay  kakaiba ang lasa. Hilaw pa yata yun eh but it's just to me. I should have just ordered their sisig. if only I knew how it tastes. feeling ko nasayang lang ang pera ko. nakadalawang subô lang ako :( but the question here is...

Do I recommend Pares Retiro? Yes! will I give them another chance yes because they still have a lot of food to choose from I just didn't like the bone marrow. by the way... they also have Silog Meals, ala cart pares, Merienda, and dessert

RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Please kindly give water to your customer for free. because they might choke and die
2. just add the price of the rice to the total price of the dish (ps. lower the rice's price)

Moshi Manju Korean cake review

FACILITIES AND FEATURES

Entertaining, Luscious, and Chintzy. that's what Moshi Manju's Korean cake brings us. Yesterday as I was thinking of a new content for the Blog, I thought of coming up with a Food cart series where I will feature some of unique and delicious food that you may find in food cart setting. so here's one. I went to Moshi Manju's food cart located in Victory Mall in Monumento, Caloocan. ever since I discovered how this Korean cake is being baked using the what I call their choo choo train-oven. I thought someday I will show the world how cool this Food cart is.

MoshiManju Food cart

train-like oven

AMBIANCE - I like the design of their food cart. It looks authentic Korean. The cart is well lit. and their train-like electric oven is marvelous the kids will like it for sure

SERVICE - Their staff is hygienic. they always clean their equipment and their food cart. The Service is OK. they are friendly and they act quick. they are nice to every customer| PRESENTATION - The food is served inside a french fries-like pouch which is made of thin Greaseproof paper. holding the food with only this thin paper packaging may burn your hands because the food was straight from the oven. it's literally hot. How I wish they will use food pouch made of carton in the future.  FOOD - The aroma is really appetizing. you can smell the luscious and fragrant mini cake from a distance, and it will make you hungry really quick (insert drooling emoji). Now, Lets talk about the taste. I really like how it was baked. It was golden brown with a nice crunch on the outside. The cake is covered with simple embossed pattern around it. The taste of the this mini Korean cake is on the sweeter side. specially the filling. There is a generous amount of gooey filling in every Moshi Manju cake. The cake has two exciting flavors: Pastillas De Leche and Chocolate. To me, their Pastillas De Leche is quite similar to our Filipino favorite. Yema. Unfortunately the chocolate filling is not so chocolatey for me. Sorry guys, I'm just being honest here... In any case, I love how they baked it.

OVERALL, I like it. However, I won't eat as much of it since it's too sweet for my taste. in terms of the price, It's very affordable. There are several packs to choose from. The smallest pack contains 4 mini Korean cakes for only P20.00. An 8-piece pack costs 40.00, a 15-piece pack costs 70.00, while a 24-piece pack costs 110.00 (perfect as Barkada's snack).

SUGGESTIONS:
1st. Lessen the sweetness of the filling. it will also be healthier specially to those who have diabetes already. 2nd. Please add more flavors and fillings. for example add cheese flavor, strawberry jam and ham for the meat-lovers 3rd. change the packaging to carton to lessen the heat causing burning of the hands Did you like our content for today?
