MASARAP DITO: Featuring The Steak Shack

   


        It was my first time dining here at the steak shack. we were here to celebrate the birthday of our dear father. as we arrived here we all sat, the waiter immediately gave us pitchers of cold water for us to drink while we were waiting for the food to arrive. I wandered my eyes at The Interior design of the restaurant I  like it. it is appealing to the eyes  there were murals, live indoor plants and neon lights signage that is to me.. . is Instagrammable! I noticed they use bench instead of chairs. it's not comfortable as you cannot lean back because it doesn't have a back rest. maybe they use bench instead of chairs to save space. as I can see the restaurant is not big enough. what I enjoyed about the place is the big window where you can see jeepneys, cars and pedestrian passing by while the sun is setting. it's kinda relaxing for me. and finally! the food were coming... while the food is being served by the server there's a song on the background playing. and it's the happy birthday song. for me I like it because we really felt that the day was really special. before we ate we prayed to god and greeted our parents happy birthday. 

    Now, It's time for us to eat. We ordered different kinds of steak that they are offering: Salisbury steak, porter house, pork belly steak and T-bone, we also had Fried Chicken.
What I got was Pork Belly Steak. I got greeted by the big steak with brown sauce, mixed veggies and java rice, what I notice first was the serving size. it's not served on the typical sizzling plate that is narrow and small. they served it on a BIG circular sizzling plate. the Steak was paired by a big serving of java rice. 
The Java rice  itself is filling for the serving size. it's really good, I liked it because it's delicious and the taste is balance  also it's not greasy like what others do with their java rice, now let's talk about the...

Mixed Veggies again it's not the usual mixed veggies like diced carrots peas and corn, instead they change the peas to something better. which is baguio beans and to tell you guys, it's just not for display it's actually quite a lot. I really like how they cook them. when you bite into it it's kind of crunchy outside and soft on the inside like what chefs call it Al dente.

The Steak the steak is served bone-in. bone-in steak is always a good steak choice. Prized for its tenderness and flavor.  I notice the steak is not thick maybe because they want to sell them at low price so that the masses can afford it. I got my steak well-done. I'm not surprised that they cannot cook medium-rare steak cause they served it on sizzling plate because the hot plate is so hot that the cooking process is continuous. the taste was really good. specially when you get to choose among the two sauces to put on your steak: brown sauce, and white sauce. I got Brown sauce and to me its too peppery maybe next time I will try the light sauce 


THE RECOMMENDATION
  • it's not cold enough inside. the aircon's coldness is insufficient. specially that you are serving hot food on a hot plate. the place can get hot easily. maybe, you put another aircon unit or use split-type aircon instead.
  • the place is small  I guess you cannot do something about it. or you maybe remove one or two tables and benches so that we can move freely and easily  that may lessen the heat as well
  • Improve your cutlery your fork and spoon looks so cheap. like the one we can buy in the market. and the same as the one that is used in most carenderia. my gosh you are a restaurant better look like one you can do better with that.

    GOOD POINTS:

    • Service       - There are a lot of waiters waiting to serve you. they are also attentive to the guests and their needs. they are polite they respond quickly
    • The place   -  it's really nice it's not intimidating but not too simple. just the right balance. tailored for their target market the c-d category
    • The Price   - it's really competitive. even if it's affordable yet the serving is big and the taste did not suffer in fact it's delicious!

    Am I Recommending The Steak Shack?....
    yes! 'cause the price is affordable for what you are getting. and the service is good and the steak is delicious. kaya naman....

MASARAP DITO sa Marchello

Hello foodies!
I'm here at Marchello trying out their famous coffee.
I ordered cafe mocha.
The whipcream and its chocolate sauce taste really good infact the chocolate sauce lifts up the drink cause it's really good. The espresso is topnotch it's strong and tastes premium. But the ratio between chocolate and coffee for me.... is not balance. I almost didn't taste the chocolate part. the good part is They also give PWD Discount. defenitely Value for money!

The ambiance of the cafe is really nice. It's aesthetic. And the coldness of the aircon is just fine not too cold. There's also a book wall where you may borrow and read books. They also have strong wifi connection. All you have to do is ask for the password.

           they also have a merchandise section where you can purchase some goods like cups, stationery and                   other souvenirs that you can bring home or gift to your loved ones aside from that they also sell drip               coffee that is source locally. imagine you can help our local farmers and drink hot and delicious coffee               at the same time.

Now. For the recommendations.                                                                                                                                     
1. The coffee in their mocha for me is really strong infact bitter. You may adjust that to suit the filipino taste which is on the sweeter side.
2. The variety of the food that you can eat here is so limited to one or two. Clubhouse sandwich and waffle. (the time that I was there)
3. The food price is on the borderline expensive.

 

 If You would ask if I would go back here? The answer is definitely YES!
I LIKE the fact that they give PWD discount. The ambiance is just fine not so intimidating
The staff is highky trained and well-mannered
The Quality of the Drinks they offer is unmatched. I love it.
